Creativity theory

 Creativity theory is a set of ideas and explanations that attempts to explain how humans create new and useful things. There are many different theories from philosophers, scientists, psychologists and creative people themselves. Some of these theories are:

Plato's theory: It says that creativity is not a personal effort, but rather the result of inspiration or inheritance. Creativity is the process of creating new ideas, and inspiration is the first step that directs a person towards creativity

Aristotle's theory: It says that creativity is subject to the laws of nature, and that nature and climate contribute to the production of creative works. A person who lives in a place full of problems tries to solve them in an innovative and effective way

Kant's theory: It says that creativity stems from the individual's imagination, and that he can derive new ideas from the environment surrounding him. Creativity gives the individual the ability to produce the best and reach a better future

Galton's theory: It says that creativity is derived from genes, and that every individual has a genetic predisposition to creativity. The individual must work on innovation, development and improvement to demonstrate his creative abilities

Freud's theory: It says that creativity is built on a psychological basis, and that it results from the conflict between the personality components of the ego and the superego. Creativity appears through defense mechanisms such as repression and sublimation

Humanistic theory: It says that creativity is an integral part of the human being, and that it can be nurtured and refined. Creativity is associated with the need for self-exploration, self-expression and self-actualization
